Baby Haguewood #2 – 31 Weeks

31 weeks baby #2

How far along? 31 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: Still only+18lbs. I was at 21lbs. with Reagan at this point in my last pregnancy.

Maternity clothes? YEP!

Stretch marks? Nothing yet.  Thank goodness and fingers crossed.

Sleep: With the help of epsom salt baths and lots of lavender essential oil spray i’m hanging in there.

Best moment this week: Daddy turned 30 this week.  We had so much celebrating him and everything he has accomplished in his 30 years on this Earth.  Also a bonus, we went on a walk as a family and I was able to chug along for a full 4 miles.  Totally crushed it.  Still working on finding a balance between resting enough and staying active but not overdoing it.  Tricky Tricky Tricky.

Have you told family and friends? Yep!

Worst moment this week: We went out to dinner to celebrate my hubby and I SOOOOOO BADLY wanted a drink!!! Just to get out of the house, enjoy a nice meal, and relax was completely wonderful.  A nice glass of wine OR even better, a margarita would have been AMAZING. We still had so much fun and Reagan did great.  One of my best pieces of advice to new parents…take your kids everywhere.  Don’t be afraid if they misbehave.  Its good for them to learn that fits and tantrums don’t derail LIFE and we keep on trucking no matter what.

Miss Anything? I miss having my body to myself.  But I LOVE the feeling of our sweet little gummy bear moving around in my tummy.  Those moments and the weeks are dwindling.  I need to just soak up every second of what it feels like to be growing a tiny human being.

Movement: BIG rolls and BIG jabs.  Reagan moved a lot but this baby has super exaggerated movements that are huge.  Think Alien type movements were my tummy is distended in two different directions at the same time. Totally bizarre.  The hubby and I watch the baby move in bed at night and are blown away at how different this baby is compared to Miss Reagan. We are so excited to know what we are having.  Only a few more weeks.

Food cravings: Ben and Jerry’s ice cream!!!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Morning sickness has made another appearance.  Small meals and carbs with every meal make a huge difference.

Symptoms: Feeling all the pregnancy FEELS! D-Day is coming.

Have you started to show yet: I’m definitely either pregnant OR hiding a basketball under my shirt 24/7!

Gender prediction: BOY!!! But I really have no idea.  I was so positive during my first pregnancy, mothers intuition and all, that Reagan was a BOY too.  Definitely wrong.  So this time I truly have no idea.

Labor Signs: Nada but lots of braxton hicks contractions and a few real ones mixed in there as well. All totally normal. My body is just practicing for the real thing, 🙂

Belly Button in or out? OUT

Wedding rings on or off? On

Happy or Moody most of the time: Moody this week.  My emotions have been on a constant rollercoaster and I feel a bit unhinged.  Having a birthday to celebrate and family in town has definitely helped!!!!

Looking forward to: Easter weekend!!!!

My “Mint & Gold” Themed Baby Shower

Can I just take a second and start this post with the worlds BIGGEST THANK YOU to my beautiful and wonderful Mommy aka the “Grandma-To-Be.”  She absolutely went above and beyond and made my Baby Shower so perfect, relaxing, and beautiful.  I wasn’t expecting anything nearly so grand, but she completely rocked Pinterest projects like a pro and made the whole experience only that much better. She is just amazing and I am so grateful for everything she did to celebrate our little gummy bear.

The whole party was so much FUN and I loved seeing all my family together! Because we are not finding out the gender of our little gummy bear my mom went with the colors of our Nursery for the theme.  I’ve been obsessed with the soft mints and gold, anything cream or white, and little giraffe prints / and stuffed animals.  Everything was gorgeous! We hung out, got spoiled beyond belief by our family and friends, and had an awesome lunch! It really was perfect!

Baby H and I got some of the best baby gifts! I’ve never felt so appreciative and thankful in my life.  Some of the goodies include this adorable Moses Basket with a rocking stand, Sophie the Giraffe & Kiki the Elephant baby teethers, the best ever Tula Baby Carrier, a Munchkin Wipe Warmer with mist, and countless other goodies!

We got some of the sweetest and fluffiest cuddly stuffed animals and my sweet mommy included “a Book for Baby” request in the invitation.  So instead of bringing a card for the baby we stocked Baby’s Library and got some of the BEST books.  Most I can remember from my childhood and I absolutely can’t wait to start reading to our little gummy bear.  Both Jeffrey and I’s parents read to us every night as children and we can’t wait to share the same tradition with our babies in the future!!! I was absolutely blown away at how many FUN and AMAZING books we got!!!!

Overall it was the Best time!! I went home that night and completely crashed from all the excitement and festivities celebrating our sweet Little Baby H! I can’t wait to start setting up all our Nursery goodies.  I’m starting to feel a little frazzled realizing how much we have to do before the baby comes.  My goal is go get everything ready at least a few weeks prior to my due date just in case baby makes an early appearance.

Thank you so much to everyone who took the time to attend my baby shower.  Being surrounded by so many loved ones was amazing and we so appreciate the amazing outpouring of love and generosity for our sweet little babe.  We are so grateful to each and everyone of you!!!!

Time to get ready for our Little Gummy Bear!!!!

Baby Haguewood – 31 Weeks

Pregnancy Chalkboard 31 Weeks

How far along? 31 Weeks

Total weight gain/loss: +21lbs.

Maternity clothes? YEP

Stretch marks? Nothing yet! Still putting my cream on religiously every night!

Sleep: Much better these days! I’m back to sleeping good with a few bad nights here and there!

Best moment this week: I had an absolute BLAST at my Baby Shower.  My mom hosted and it was adorable! She went above and beyond and everything was completely perfect! I wanted something really low key and relaxing…no games or anything like that!

Have you told family and friends? Yep!

Worst moment this week: Nothing too bad…I was just completely exhausted from all the fun and excitement!

Miss Anything? SLEEPING…in general! But I am getting better and my body is adjusting to getting less sleep in general!

Movement: Baby is a moving machine in there.

Food cravings: FRUIT, FRUIT, and more FRUIT!!!! Apples and Bananas are my favorite right now…and craisins! I’m addicted. Baby wants some natural sugars apparently!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing this week at all. The thought of Labor and Delivery makes me a little queasy these days.  We do have our Birth Class coming up here soon and I know that will relieve a lot of the anxiety and nervousness.

Symptoms: Still just the charlie horses and general restlessness when sleeping.  I’m sorta second guessing not buying a double sided pregnancy pillow at this point.

Have you started to show yet: YEP, and the belly is growing all the time…along with other parts.  Can’t wait to have our baby and start my regular workout routine again.

Gender prediction: BOY!!! But I still wonder each and every day what the little peanut is.  Being patient and not finding out the gender has to be one of the hardest things i’ve ever done. Can’t wait to meet our little baby and find out what God has blessed us with.

Labor Signs: Nada

Belly Button in or out? Out

Wedding rings on or off? On

Happy or Moody most of the time: So very Happy!

Looking forward to: Our Maternity Photoshoot next weekend!!!! I am so excited to capture this time in our life…plus we haven’t had family photos taken in awhile 🙂

xoxo Friends,
